Since this year is ending today, I'm publishing the report of goals set for the 2010. Period of play was very short since this project began two months ago, but I'm thrilled with success of goals reached and fulfilled. Silver VIP status is reached, four VIP Stellar Rewards were conquested as planned. Buyin level $11 is reached. Planned bankroll of $735 is significanlty larger and equals to $965.50 with 382 tournaments played at $5.50 buyins (380 planned), and 295 tournaments (300 planned) at $11 buyins.

What was problem for some time, improved with slight change of a play style at the end of the year when I returned to the nit style until my stack drops below 10BB, when I start playing loose push and ultra tight call. The result of a such style is return to the achievement that I had at first played tournaments of a $5.50 buyin, and ROI for $11 buyin reached so much (to 14.6%) so it is better than ROI for $5.50 buyin which equals in total 13.7%, and after 295 tournaments it was 8.2%.

For a long time my ITM stat seemed to be too low (now equals to 43.3%) expecting to be a little bit higher than 50%, but, after I signed up for the Tournament Shark service I notice that I'm always the player with the highest ITM at the table, especially when there are other players with equal or higher number of tournaments played. Also, tournament wins (12,4%) is usually the best at the tables.

The most important goals for year 2011 are:

30. 1. 2011. Climb to $22 buyin
26. 2. 2011. Conquesting the Gold VIP status
9. 4. 2011. Climb to $33 buyin
28. 8. 2011. Climb to $55 buyin
25. 9. 2011. Conquesting the Platinum VIP status
31. 12. 2011. Bankroll $8.194
For you who are interested how am I going to achieve that, take a look at my video which I filmed while playing in a large upswing few days ago when I won +$106 (out of 10 tournaments with buyin $11). You can download this video from this page, and 161 MB long (duration 2h 1').

At the end, thanks to everyone who support me and I wish you all luck in your life and at the tables in the new year!

This third week was really filled with frustrating situations in which opponents were hitting the 1-2 outers at the river whenever it was possible. Besides of that, I tried to reduce the number of tournaments that I was behind (42 tournaments less than planned), so I increased the number of tournaments I play simultaneously to 6. That way I reduced the number to 18 which I should annulate during the next week.

Earnings ($160.50) are still above the expected ($145.20), so the bankroll ($333.50) is a little bit larger than expected ($331). Comparing to the previous two weeks ROI has significantly decreased to 13.4% and it is still above planned 12%, but EV ROI 10.3% shows further decreasing tendency. I hope that this won't happen because I see my play dominant and correct, and too many bad beats significantly influence the ROI. These bad beats influenced the ITM drop to 44.1% and reduced the tournament duration to 55.4 minutes. I still play well bubble situations, correctly solved 98 of 132 cases, but bad beats reduced success to 74.2%, out of 75% expected. Play in the ITM zone is still below expected, 62.2%  against 2 players out of 66.7% expected, and 41% in heads up out of 50% expected. Because of that, I started some calculations of decisions in some game phases which I will start using in few weeks and publish results here.

Some of you asked me to publish my HEM HUD that I use during my play, and it can be downloaded here. Stats have the following meaning:1. row = M coeficient, Player name
2. row = VPIP, PFR, AF, Flop AF, Turn AF
3. row = Steal, SB fold vs steal, BB fold vs steal
4. row = Flop CB, Fold vs flop CB, Fold vs turn CB, hands number

Important  is that all stats are significantly filtered based upon players at the table:
  • with 2 players at the table, only hands played in heads up are used
  • with 3 players at the table, hands with 3-4 players at the table are used
  • with 4 players at the table, hands with 4-5 players at the table are used
  • with 5 players at the table, hands with 5-6 players at the table are used
  • with 6 players at the table, hands with 6-7 players at the table are used
  • with 7 or more players at the table, hands with 7 or more players at the table are used
and based upon the stack size in BB:
  • for the stack 1-7 xBB
  • for thestack 8-14 xBB
  • for thestack 15-30 xBB
  • for thestack 30-50 xBB
  • for thestack 51+ xBB

This way stats are poor for new players, but significant for regular players I played with, so I make correct decisions easier by using the HUD data.

Here are some interesting hands from the past week:
  1. AA, 9 players, 75 BB
  2. AA, 9 players, 73 BB
  3. KK, 9 players, 47 BB
  4. KQo, 9 players, 15 BB
  5. AKo, 9 players, 4 BB
